Happy Wednesday!
I'm late! Let's get this show on the road.
1. What is your favorite piece of furniture in your house?
That brand new TV that's upstairs.
2.If it was raining so hard on a Saturday that you couldn’t leave your house, what would you spend the day doing?
You mean, what did I do on Saturday? I donno, clean I guess.
3. What was your favorite candy as a child?
CREAM SAVERS
4. Did you get an allowance? What was it based on? What did you do with it?
Yes I did, $7 a week for chores that I did. Later in life, my mom would give me money to write short stories.
5. Do you have a favorite Etsy store?
Does the whole website count? I love that site.
6. Do you prefer time with family or time with friends?
I prefer time with boyfriend.
7. Looney Tunes, Tiny Toons, or Animaniacs?
Looney Tunes if I HAD to choose. The other's annoy the hell out of me.
8. Best daytime talk show: Oprah, Ellen, The Doctors, Tyra, Dr. Oz, or Dr. Phil?
TYRA! SHE SO CRAZY!
9. Would you rather have the power of invisibility or the ability to fly?
Invisibility, I'm super nosy so that would come in handy...
10. Name 1 thing you love about being an adult.
FINALLY being able to look at the drink menu! Con: It's an extra menu and I have to decide fast haha.
~~~
In other news, I may have a job interview already lined up! I applied online to 24 Hour Fitness and he called asking to see me tomorrow.
"Here's the thing," I interjected, "I kind of live in Salt Lake City right now...but I will move on June 3. I was trying to be responsible and stuff..."
Digging through my closet, I realized I have no grown-up business clothes. I went to Old Navy (they're about what I can afford) and bought grown-up pants andsomeregularpeopleclothestoo.
Then, I went to Shop-Ko (Ugh) and Nordstrom Rack (UGH) and I couldn't find grown-up business shirts. I bought some clothes but I'm returning them today, for I am poor.
Lostuesday!
Here's your weekly 10.
1. If your name was a verb, what would "to Rebecca" mean?
Zack and I just had a moment like this, he was cutting open a fish packet thing and when I did it yesterday I was handling a knife dangerously but I eventually got it open. Today, he did it the proper way, not "Rebecca style." Not a verb...so I guess "to Rebecca" would mean to handle knives inappropriately.
2. What myth have you always wanted to prove or bust?
Superstitious stuff, like Ouija boards and saying Macbeth in a theater.
3. If you had the ability to get a message out to the entire world, what would you say?
"Play nice."
4. Please name your current top 10 blogs:
-Hyperbole and A Half
-OH NO THEY DIDN'T
-PostSecret
(Honestly, I follow a TON of blogs thanks to Google Reader, but I can't be bothered to list them all right now.)
5. Do you have a junk drawer?
I don't have a drawer :( But if I did, it would be oddly organized.
6. Bottled water or Tap?
I would rather die than drink tap water. I'm a bottled water snob.
7. As a kid, did you have a favorite Biblical story?
Seriously, the only ones I can really recall are of David and Goliath and Noah's Ark...
8. What is your favorite black and white movie?
Some Like It Hot. Total classic.
9. Aside from your engagement/wedding rings, what is your favorite piece of jewelry that you own? Do you have a story behind it?
I have two favorites. One is a lizard ring, my mom and I both have one. The second is a bracelet Zack bought for me in Washington.
10. What sports/activities do you hope your kids will be involved in (answer for both a boy and a girl)?
BASEBALL for my boy, probably dance for a girl. But baseball is a must. But they have to have extracurriculars, because I only had one in high school and I would have liked more.
Tuesday Ten!
I saw a few other blogs that do this too, but there are questions that are asked and I'm like, "what questions I just ramble on for ten bullet points." So, this week let me use questions.
1. What was your high school superlative? (If you didn't have one, what would it have been?)
At my high school they did Senior Predictions, kind of a Tee-Ball Award because everyone got them. Mine had something to do with writing for SNL about more cowbell or something like that.
2. What sports did you play in high school?
None, I was a ~drama kid~.
3. What was the best part about your wedding? (If you're not married yet, what are you most looking forward to?)
I was just thinking about this earlier. I'm not sure what I'm most looking forward to (probably the dress) but as I was looking through my friend's facebook pages at their wedding pictures, all of them at one point are bending down to talk to little girls. I hate this for several reasons. One, the impression I get is that these little girls are being programmed to think, "Yes, you too will marry a man!" Which I have nothing against, but come on. Two, you will not see me doing that at my wedding. I have no nieces or nephews, I honestly don't get along well with kids, and it's my day, it will not be ruined with me having to talk to kids I don't know.
4. It's your last meal--which Appetizer, Soup, Salad, Entree, and Dessert would you choose?
Whatever Applebee's latest special is. It's my last meal but doesn't mean I can't be thrifty.
Just kidding. But I know it would include a caesar salad.
5. What song is your guilty pleasure?
Anything Taylor Swift. Girl just makes me want to work out for some reason.
6. What is your favorite professional sports team, and why do you like them?
Uh...Salt City Derby Girls? Is that professional?
7. What is your favorite reality show and why do you like it?
I love The Amazing Race because I want to do it!!! I also like Biggest Loser. Does Craig Ferguson count as reality tv?
8. How would you describe your home decorating style (modern, classic, French countryside)?
I don't have a home. But I would like modern-classic.
9. Pizza-deep dish or thin crust? White sauce or red sauce? Toppings?
Deep dish red sauce pepperoni. Call me old fashioned.
10. Favorite weekend getaway within a two hour driving radius?
Uh Park City? Yeah.
Ta ta ta Tuezday
Here's another Tuesday thingy
1. It's been a week since my birthday. You know you usually don't feel older after your birthday? I feel soooo much older.
2. I have tickets for Iron Man 2 at midnight on Thursday in the IMAX! I'm so excited! Did I already talk about that? Oh well.
3. Since May has finally come (Or has it? It's been SNOWING UGH) I can finally start for real packing. Before I just had stuff put in boxes because I couldn't wait, but now I have to start figuring this stuff out.
4. Today I started a cleanse. Zack wants to go for 3 days, I want to go for 10. But I already really miss food.
5. I haven't been to the gym since before my California trip and I really miss it. I'm going back this afternoon.
6. My last final is tonight! Math. Now I can graduate to math classes that will actually earn me credit towards some kind of degree.
7. People need to stop doing weddingy stuff on Facebook. And posting about their babies. I feel like I have nothing to talk about when all I see are those posts.
8. I have a wonderful and amazing boyfriend.
9. We went to TGIFridays on Saturday for my birthday and we locked my keys in the car. I had just bought new heels and we had to walk to the store that was down a hill for a wire hanger. Zack broke into my car. Apparently he's done it before.
10. Here's the latest installment of Rebecca's Creativity. Drawings!
